About Rex Bohn
To make a community better, you must be involved; and Humboldt has never had a community leader more involved than Rex Bohn.
Rex brings a deep knowledge of the 1st District and its rich history, economy, and youth and local organizations, through his unparalleled dedication to his community. For more than 30 years, Rex has shown the kind of leadership ability it takes to get things done; from the more than $7.1 million he has raised as auctioneer for local non-profits and organizations, to developing and overseeing the Redwood Field recreational fields in Cutten.
Having been employed in Eureka for more than 50 years, from a small business owner to upper management in top local industry; Rex has the knowledge of what a sustainable, growing economy needs. His dedication to Eureka, proven determination to see projects through, and incomparable ability to unite his community shows Rex has what it takes to promote economic development for Humboldt County.
There has been no greater champion for our local youth than Rex. For the past three decades, he has served as both board member and coach for such organizations as Redwood Little League, Eureka Babe Ruth, Eureka Hoopsters Recreation League, Humboldt Youth Soccer League and the Humboldt/Del Norte Special Olympics. As co-founder, Rex was instrumental in developing one of the most comprehensive recreational facilities for youth in our area- where more than 450 baseball and soccer games are played every year. Rex cares about the quality of life our community can provide—for every generation.
Endorsed by hundreds of local businesses and organizations, proves that Rex is trusted and respected by our local business community. Honors such as the Women in Timber Lifetime Member; St. Bernard’s High School Hall of Fame; Boys & Girls Club Youth Mentor of the Year; PTA Honorary service Award and Congressional Volunteer Service Award prove that Rex is a valued leader at both the local and state levels.
Rex Bohn will bring his lifelong passion and dedication for bettering his community to the 1st District Humboldt County Supervisors chair next November. He is the change Eureka needs, and the driving force to make it happen. Vote Rex for Supervisor, 2020.
